While modalities to have the service on all mobile networks are being worked out, the service is now active on the Etisalat network. The League Management Company (LMC) has fined Okey Emordi tutor side Abia Warriors N250,000 for breaching the law of the game, that only the team captains can approach referees to protest any decision taken by centre ref during a game. The Umuahia based club was charged due to a group of their players persistently accosting the ref to protest a penalty decision to home team Remo Stars. Abia Warriors who enjoyed a brilliant start to the season prior to their last game away to Remo Stars played two game and won the two games against defending Champion Enugu Rangers and Katsina United 2-1 and 2-0 respectively. The League governing body further gave Abia Warriors 48hours , not later than Wednesday January 25, 2017, to appeal or accept the sabctions imposed on them.
