3SC RECORDED SECOND BACK TO BACK VICTORY AT HOME THIS SEASON AS THEY BEATS EL-KANEMI WARRIORS 1-0

Image
Fatai Amoo's tutored side got their second back to back home victory as they defeated ElKanemi Warriors of Maiduguri in one of the listed NPFL Week 16 fixtures. Shooting Stars have drawn 4 matches at home this season but there was no such luck for the visitors who remained 3rd on the log with 27 points from 16 matches. The Oluyole Warriors got straight to the business and got off to a flying start when we got the first free kick in the 3rd minute when Opeyemi Adetoyi was brought down outside the area but the resultant free kick was way off target. We had a penalty kick awarded to the team 8 minutes into the game from a foul in ElKanemi area.  Sunday Faleye might have done better as he stepped forward to take the kick but surprisingly it was sluggishly played into the hands of ElKanemi goalkeeper George Michael. Afterwards, it was a barrage of attacking moves by the Oluyole Warriors but none resulted into a goal. Although both teams lorded over the midfield battle but El

"We came with the mindset to win because we want to win every match but we are still very happy we got a draw against the defending champions." "Rangers International is not new to me as a Coach, I played them in the federation cup and it helped mW to some extent because I have clear knowledge of how they go about their business." "Unfortunately, Rangers are going through a lot of technical problem, they couldn't play their usual game and

3SC BATTLE RANGERS IN MUST WIN TIE IN IBADAN

Image
The two oldest Nigerian club sides, Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan and Rangers International of Enugu will this afternoon, at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, rekindle their rivalry in a rescheduled week eight tie of the Nigeria Professional Football League, (NPFL). For both club sides, it is not the best of times with spate of unimpressive runs on the local and continental scenes and this is giving a lot of concerns to their fans. The hosts, Shooting Stars are the hard-hit with four consecutive home draws, the last was against Abia Warriors on Sunday with the home fans believing that nothing short of maximum points this afternoon will be entertained.  They wondered why a team with impressive away records (three recent draws in Katsina, Enyimba and Gombe) would find it difficult to win at home!  As such, they are beginning to get inpatient and unconvinced about the ability of the coaches and  players to weather the storm of the NPFL challenges! This is why, Fa
