OSUN UNITED DEFEATED GO ROUND 2-1 , AS OMOLUABI GIANTS EXTEND THEIR 100 PERCENT HOME WIN

Osun United Football Club impressively defeated Go Round Football Club in one of the Week 8 contest of the Nigeria National League at the Oshogbo Township Stadium to keep their 100 percent home win streak. Osun United began the game brightly, with Victor Okeji, Dare Olatunji, Hakeem Olalere and Tosin Omoyele, showing flashes. Omoyele, opened the scoring for the Omoluabi Giants in the 9th minute after he supplied a delicate cross that was deflected on the edge of the box by Kpekpe Chris. Go Round winger, Nwachukwu Solomon, and lanky striker, Ugwu Onyedinaka went into act of threatening as their pace and dribbling skills ensured they had a foot to stand on as Osun United backline stood strong. NATIONWIDE LEAGUE ONE 2016/2017 SEASON TO KICKOFF ON MAY 4TH

The NationWide League One held her 2016/2017 annual general congress Wednesday 12th of April at Top Rank Hotel, Galaxy Abuja. The congress approved April 28th as the deadline date for all teams to perfect their registration with the league body and endorsed 4th of May as the kickoff date for the 2016/2017 season. COMMUNIQUE OF NLO CONGRESS IN DETAILS The congress applauded the progress made by the NLO Board on the partnership made with the League Management Company LMC and also for securing partnership/ sponsorship deal with the Pipul TV, and charged the board to finalize all the details regarding the partnership/ sponsorship of the broadcast rights of the NLO league games for 2016/2017 season. The congress also approved the recommendation of NLO Board to have minimum of 10 under 19 players in each club in the NLO from 2017 season. Osun United Football Club continued their fine run of form, defeating Nnewi United Football Club 2-0 on Saturday at the Oshogbo Township Stadium in one of the Week 6 contest of the Nigeria National League.
