3SC VS ABIA WARRIORS:- FATAI AMOO CHARGES HIS PLAYERS TO START PICKING MAXIMUM POINT AT HOME

Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan hopes to change their fortunes from recent repeated home draws as they host Abia Warriors from Umuahia on Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.

The team is still smarting from their back to back recent away draws with Enyimba and Gombe United respectively.

Although, the team has picked three away draws in as many matches, the Technical Adviser Fatai Amoo is not leaving any stone unturned to improve on  their performance at the home.

He speaks with www.3sc.com.ng and discloses that if the team actually wants to compliment their bright away results, they need to have winning mentality at home. "We have been doing well on the road, but we should improve on our home games and start picking up maximum points. We can't afford to drop points on Sunday as we do not belong to the relegation zone in anyway", he concludes.

Also, the head coach Edith Agoye corroborates Fatai Amoo with the same standpoint - "Our boys are capable of doing well in our home matches, we just have to learn to convert our chances and stop leaving our chances till late in our home games; we can achieve greatness but we need to start taking our scoring chances", he sums it up.

Abia Warriors won't be a pushover going into this fixture. They went to Nnewi to get a valuable draw versus FC Ifeanyi Ubah the penultimate week and also defeated Lobi Stars in their last home game. They will give the Oluyole Warriors a good game come Sunday.   However, 3SC's Nonso Mbakwe, (scorer in Gombe) says 'it's a game the Oluyole Warriors must to win to make our fans happy'.

Last season, ex Shooting Sunday Adetunji brace saw them off in Ibadan in the first leg of the similar fixture while the second leg in Umuahia ended in 2 goals to 1 to secured the NPFL status of the Abia Boys. Most interestingly, Sunday Adetunji, the February LBA player of the month has swapped places and will be filing out for Abia Warriors in this fixture.

Shooting occupies the 18th position after 12 matches while Abia Warriors sit on the 9th position with 18 points from 13 matches.

We need to start picking maximum points in our home games if we want to improve our chances on the log, it's a no brainer. Tomorrow offer us another chance to cover ourselves in glory. It's the Match Day 14 in a bit.  We hope for a good outing for the Oluyole Warriors.
