REMO STARS BEATS WIKKI TOURIST 2-1

Victor Mbaoma's spot kick in the 80th minute secured another maximum for Remo Stars Football Club in the Match Day 15 of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The Sky Blue Stars welcomed the Giant Elephants to the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu in a must win encounter for both sides.

Both teams started brilliantly with the home side having an early chance through David Onovo in the 2nd minute before Ekene Awazie got another chance but Emeka Nwabulu saves well for the visitors.

Wikki Tourist had their first chance through Idris Guda Molid in the 10th minute of the game but he anxiously played directly to Walbe David's hand.

The host had another wonderful chance when Onovo David sends in a cool pass to Victor Mbaoma who carefully gets the ball across to Chidume Victor before Emeka Nwabulu confidently saved for the visitors.

Debutant Chidume Victor put the host ahead in the 41st minute after he carefully slots in from Abiodun Awoyemi's wonderful pass.

Just minutes after the goal, the Sky Blue Stars were still rejoicing when Richard Jonathan got an equaliser for the visitors from a long throws that goes over the defenders.

Victor Mbaoma gets the 2nd goal for the Sky Blue Stars from the spot to increase his goal tally to 7 goals after one of Wikki Tourist defender handled the ball in the box.

The game ended in favour of Remo Stars Football Club and the victory indicates the first back to back victory for Fatai Osho and his lads.
