SGFC EAGLES,MARYLAND HISTORIC PROMOTION TO PROFESSIONAL SIDE.


SGFC Eagles, Maryland popularly known as Super Green Football Club in the United States has joined the Northeast-based Conference expansion of American Soccer League for the 2017 season , the league announced by Adam Manning, VP League Operations. "It's simply a dream come true for SGFC Management, according to Paul Akinrimisi and Coach Richard Opanuga  SGFC Boss. We are one of the teams  coming out of Washington area to continously send players to europe for tryouts and invitational games by top tier teams to further player development simply because the opportunity don't exist,"

The SGFC has won all the titles in amateur leagues & Tournaments in the northeast of America before being drafted by the American Soccer league.

SGFC Eagles president Richard Opanuga said. "Now, players will have that opportunity through our affiliation as a pro team to pursue their dream and we will challenge ourselves to ensure we are developing these players. My first goal is always players development so to enable their careers take them to levels they had dreamed before. 



The Newly promoted side to America Soccer League, SGFC Eagles, Maryland have announced date for the commencement of their tryouts to accommodate new and fresh legs to help the team perform well in the league and positioned them in a strong position, according to Paulo Campo the Director of Coaching infrastructure; we hereby inform all trialists that SGFC  Eagles will conduct their tryouts exercise this month March 18th, 2017.


SGFC Eagles will battle AFC Lancaster Lions at home in their first game on 2nd April, 2017 and they hope to secure the maximum three pionts

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Monday evening in Ijebu-Ode, emerged the winner of the maiden Governor Dapo Abiodun Pre Season Tournament. Cup holders Nigeria will defend their Africa U23 Cup of Nations title in Egypt in November after the Olympic Eagles secured a robust 5-0 win over their Sudanese counterpart in the final qualifying leg at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Tuesday evening.
