The chairman of the club Barr. Isaac Danaladi disclosed to Owosports.blogspot.com that the management in their wisdom were the one that informed their players and officials to vacate the hotel and relocate back to the club's camp which is also in the city of Lafia in other not accumulate debt.

The chairman begins by explaining why they kept their players in an hotel, "It's practice of the club right before I took over as the Chairman, if we invited players for Pre-Season we do take care of their feeding and accommodations, but those that came on their own ,if there is vacancy in the club camp we put them in the camp and they take care of their feeding, but where there's no vacancy they accommodate and feed themselves.

"Before the commencement of 2017/2018 season, we invited 17players from various clubs and location, they came to Lafia we are feeding and accommodating them, they came in October, we fed them from October to first week of December before we went to Kano State where we participated in Ahlan Pre-Season cup.

Barrister Issac Danladi further explained the role the ministry played in ensuring they were able to pay over three million to the management of the hotel and restaurant owner, "Because the club didn't have fund, the ministry of youth and sports provided the funds for us to pay which runs up-to  over N3million.

He continues, "We usually do it this way in other for our players to settled down very well at the team and make it easy for them, till they get their salaries. Immediately they are been paid we usually advise them to get accommodations and begins to feed themselves.

"Subsequent bills were offset by the management, we always make sure we source for funds and pay their accommodations and feeding.

Up till now they are yet to be paid salaries, it won't be proper for us not to accommodate and feed them and because we (Nasarawa United management) felt not accumulate bills so many bills, we decided on our own and order our players to move out from the hotel and move to the club's camp, pending when they will get their salaries and the players understood with us.

For the first time we have very understanding players, that very night I have to look for money in other for the players to feed themselves with.

He puts the record straight that, "We are not owing the hotelier one Kobo, the management has gone extra mile in paying  the accumulated bills to the hotel management and we promise the restaurant owner that we will pay him when we are back from Calabar.

He concluded "People only remember us when things are not going on fine for us but do not remember or commend us when we do good. I have in my usual characteristics decided not to join issues with any journalist. Our club is not a controversial club. Nobody wants to know how we were able to assemble or even secure the services of the players in question and our efforts so far."

Further investigation conducted in the state capital of Lafia revealed evealed that funds were not forthcoming from the ministry of Youth and Sports to the management of the club.
