Gbolahan Salami Signs For Red Star Belgrade

Super Eagles forward Gbolahan Fuad Salami has completed his move to Serbian side Red Star Belgrade on a three year deal on Saturday.

According to source close to the player(Salami), the former Youth Teamer Gbolahan landed in Serbia on Thursday to complete his anticipated transfer from Nigeria domestic league to Europe. 

The 23-year-old striker began his football career with Sunshine Star of Akure in the year 2008, spent two season before moving to Shooting Star Sports Club(3SC) of Ibadan in 2010, he spent four years at 3SC. Last year (2014)  he was snapped up by Warri Wolves , where he netted a total of 17 goals for the Warri base team in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

He was invited by Super Eagles handler Stephen Keshi in January 2014 for African Nations Championship held in South Africa. Gbolahan has netted twice for Nigeria senior team in 12 appearances.
