NFF To Investigate Eduok Transfer Saga

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will open an inquest into the transfer imbroglio involving Super Eagles winger Emem Eduok.
The 20-year-old has been caught in the web of two clubs, Sarpsborg 08 and Esperance, after he reportedly signed for both clubs.
Supersport.com first reported in December that the Dolphins winger, Eduok, travelled to Norway to pen a deal with Sarpsborg 08, which the club's sporting director, Thomas Berntsen, confirmed in a telephone conversation.
"Yes Emem signed a four-year contract with Sarpsborg in December and we expect him to resume on January 18 after the friendly matches for the Nigerian national team," Berntsen told supersport.com on Sunday.
But Eduok has also reportedly signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Esperance last week.
The NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, is dismayed by the happenings and said the federation "will investigate this matter and come up with recommendations."
“Look at the cloud of controversy over the transfer of one of our brightest stars, Emem Eduok. That is a shame and should not happen. We will investigate this matter and come up with recommendations. Whoever is found culpable will have questions to answer," said Pinnick in a statement.
The Eduok transfer controversy comes just more than a year after Sunday Mba was caught in the middle of his ownership between two Nigerian clubs, Enugu Rangers and Warri Wolves.
Eduok was one of the standout performers in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) last season. He scored 20 league goals for Dolphins.
