'Ahlan': Referees Will Always Be In Beautiful Perspective



The newly appointed chairman Nigeria football federation referees appointment committee, Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, has promised that Nigeria referees will always be in beautiful perspectives.

'Ahlan' has he is popularly called, thanked  President Amaju Pinnick led NFF board for making him the head of the referees appointment committee. 'Ahlan' had previously served as vice chairman of the same committee for two years and the Kano State FA chairman says he will only continue the good job from where Ahmed Yusuf Fresh had stopped.

Expressing his gratitude and optimism ahead of the new challenge, the Kano man said;

"I thank the NFF board, our president Amaju Pinnick, for saddling me with the responsibility as chairman referees appointment committee. I'll continue as chairman from where Ahmed Yusuf Fresh stopped because he did a fantastic job as chairman while I was the vice"

"I also want to assure Nigeria football fans and stakeholders that after seeing the incredible rise in profile of our referees in the last couple years, I'll tell you they will continue to be seen in beautiful perspectives. All of them" Ahlan Concludedu

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Monday evening in Ijebu-Ode, emerged the winner of the maiden Governor Dapo Abiodun Pre Season Tournament. Cup holders Nigeria will defend their Africa U23 Cup of Nations title in Egypt in November after the Olympic Eagles secured a robust 5-0 win over their Sudanese counterpart in the final qualifying leg at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Tuesday evening. A brace by Ndifreke Effiong and one each by Taiwo Awoniyi, Sunday Faleye and Sunusi Ibrahim ensured a 5-1 aggregate win for the 1996 Olympic champions, and they became the fourth team after hosts Egypt, Zambia and South Africa to earn berths in the final scheduled for 8 th  – 22 nd  November.
