'I Didn't Sign Any Documents With Top World Football Club,' Says Alimi Sunday




Former Lobi Stars of Markudi winger Alimi Sunday has denied claims made by Mr Ayo Alabi the CEO of Top World Football Club of Ado-Ekiti of sponsoring his football career.



The former FIFA U-17 World Cup winner with the Emmanuel Amunike victorious team in 2015 speaking from his based in Turkey revealed that he only played for Fountain Youth Sport Club,  Ado-Ekiti as a grassroot player since 2006 where he was spotted and invited to the Nigeria National U17 camp.


"After we played the qualifies for the AFCON U-17 tournament, I got back to Ado-Ekiti to resume with Fountain Youth Sport Club. The academy chairman Mr Bayo Lalege aka Boyo club told me to join some of the players to train with Top World Football club, after one week I returned back to the national team camp. I didn't sign any documents of such with any academy or professional club side," Alimi stated.



Alimi, after the FIFA U17 World Cup was signed up by Lobi Stars where he enjoyed a blissful two seasons with the Pride of Benue.



He prayed for Fountain Youth Sport Club to continue producing more great talents that the efforts of the academy won't go in vain.
