Gold Cup : Batholomy Rescues A Point For FC Ebedei

Batholomy Daniel's goal from spot kick in the 71st minute for FC Ebedei ensured FC Ebedei and Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC share the spoils in their opening encounter in the ongoing prestigious Gold Cup Preseason Tournament at the main bowl of Kwara Township Stadium.

ABS FC dominated the first fifteen minutes of the game with majority of their chances not well converted before FC Ebedei rose to get their first opportunity in the 30th minute but Soliu Dogo calmly denied Miracle Mboh a chance of giving his side the lead.

Goalscorer, Ayinde Taiye made a solo run diagonally to ensure his first opportunity of the game put ABS FC ahead in the first half of the game.

Batholomy Daniel equalised from the penalty spot after ABS goalkeeper, Soliu Dogo pinned Gbenga Ayinde down in the second half of the game.

Speaking with Gold Cup Tournament Media Crew after the game, Head of Technical Department of FC Ebedei, Oladeinde Babatunde felt the task is higher than their expectations but they are just in the tournament to expose his wards.

Coach of ABS FC, Sulyman Quadri on the other hand says they wanted to get maximum points in the game but they could not because majority of their players are no longer with the team.

ABS next match will be against Katsina United on Friday while Ebedei lock horns with MFM FC.
