NPFL FIXTURES:-LMC ANNOUNCED NEW DATE FOR CLUBS IN THE CONTINENT


The League Management Company (LMC) have rescheduled matches involving the four Nigerian clubs involved in CAF club competitions.

The clubs are Rangers, Rivers United, FC IfeanyiUbah, and Wikki Tourists who will be Nigeria’s representatives in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup games.


So, Matchday 7 games involving the four clubs, which was originally scheduled for February 8, have now been moved to February 22. While the games of Matchday 8, originally fixed for February 12, have now been moved to March 12.

No new dates have yet been announced for the Matchday 9 games involving the four clubs though the LMC has stated that the matches will no longer be played on the earlier fixed date of February 19.

Enugu Rangers v Lobi Stars (Moved from February 8 to February 22)

MFM FC v Rivers United (Moved from February 12 to March 1)

Kano Pillars v Wikki Tourists (Moved from February 12 to March 1)

3SC v Enugu Rangers (Moved from February 12 to March 1)

FC IfeanyiUbah v Remo Stars (Moved from February 12 to March 1)

Rivers United v ABS FC (Moved from February 19 to a new date yet to be announced)

Wikki Tourists v MFM FC (Moved from February 19 to a new date yet to be announced)

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Monday evening in Ijebu-Ode, emerged the winner of the maiden Governor Dapo Abiodun Pre Season Tournament. Cup holders Nigeria will defend their Africa U23 Cup of Nations title in Egypt in November after the Olympic Eagles secured a robust 5-0 win over their Sudanese counterpart in the final qualifying leg at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Tuesday evening. A brace by Ndifreke Effiong and one each by Taiwo Awoniyi, Sunday Faleye and Sunusi Ibrahim ensured a 5-1 aggregate win for the 1996 Olympic champions, and they became the fourth team after hosts Egypt, Zambia and South Africa to earn berths in the final scheduled for 8 th  – 22 nd  November.
