VICTOR MBAOMA: "GETTING VICTORY AGAINST NIGER TORNADOES IS NOT NEGOTIABLE"



Ahead of Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) MatchDay Seven game against Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna captain of Remo Stars Football Club, Victor Mbaoma has said he is not moved by his performance on the field of play but the performance of the team.

Mbaoma scored three goals for the Sky Blue Stars in his first three games in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

"This is my first year in the NPFL, the most important thing is not about myself but about the team as a whole because we need to win games."

"In all games, I carry the team on my shoulders, I take charge and I have to make sure we come out with good results." 

"Actually, we don't have a serious target but we will respect all teams and play our best games to ensure a place for us in the league."

Mbaoma has also said the game against Tornadoes is not negotiable because 3 points is certain.

"The game against Niger Tornadoes will be great, getting the victory is not negotiable because  we will play as a team and keep our hearts together all through the game." Mbaoma disclosed.

Cup holders Nigeria will defend their Africa U23 Cup of Nations title in Egypt in November after the Olympic Eagles secured a robust 5-0 win over their Sudanese counterpart in the final qualifying leg at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Tuesday evening.
