NPFL MATCHDAY 10 PREVIEW:- 3SC HOST REMO STARS



Shooting Stars Football Club welcomes Remo Stars Football Club at the Adamasigba Stadium, Ibadan in one of the Matchday 10 fixtures in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) tagged 'Southwest Derby'.

The Oluyole Warriors are just a point ahead of the Sky Blue Stars with 8 points after losing their Match Day 7 resheduled match against Wikki Tourist on Wednesday while the Sky Blue Stars are 20th on the log with 7points from possible 24points.

Fatai Osho's men after playing a 1-1 draw with Lobi Stars aren't comfortable with their current position and a point on the road could restore confidence into the team.

The last time both teams met in a competitive game was in the Nigeria National League where the Sky Blue Stars were held to a 1-1 draw at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode before losing 2-0 to the Oluyole Warriors in Ibadan.

Just before the commencement of the NPFL season, Remo Stars defeated Shooting Stars 4-0 in the Southwest Preseason Tournament played in Lagos.

The Sky Blue Stars will have to be wary of the threats from 3SC attacker Sunday Faleye and Adamu Abubakar who has been impressive in goal for the Oluyole Warriors.

This is the first both teams will trade tackle in a Southwest derby in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Cup holders Nigeria will defend their Africa U23 Cup of Nations title in Egypt in November after the Olympic Eagles secured a robust 5-0 win over their Sudanese counterpart in the final qualifying leg at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Tuesday evening.
