AAG: Nigeria Beat Defending Champion Ghana 2-0



Nigeria Dream Team defeated their West Africa rival and All Africa Games defending champions Ghana by 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon at on going 2015 A‎ll Africa Games in Brazzaville. 

Coach Samson Siasia tutored side outplayed their arch-rival Ghana from the very minute of the game to final whistle, but failed to break their opponent back line in‎ the first half. ‎

Junior Ajayi broke the deadlocked ten minutes into the second half while Kingsley Sokari netted the second goal of the game at 87th minute. 

Nigeria's Dream Team VI after today's victory booked their place in the Semi final after Egypt withdrew from the competition. ‎Ghana will be hoping and pray Nigeria beat Senegal in their last game by three un reply goal, after their opening game with Senegal ended in a goalless draw.  

Dream Team next game against Senagal will be play on Saturday.

Cup holders Nigeria will defend their Africa U23 Cup of Nations title in Egypt in November after the Olympic Eagles secured a robust 5-0 win over their Sudanese counterpart in the final qualifying leg at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Tuesday evening. A brace by Ndifreke Effiong and one each by Taiwo Awoniyi, Sunday Faleye and Sunusi Ibrahim ensured a 5-1 aggregate win for the 1996 Olympic champions, and they became the fourth team after hosts Egypt, Zambia and South Africa to earn berths in the final scheduled for 8 th  – 22 nd  November.
