BANK TO PAY NIGERIA COACH OLISEH FOR A YEAR




NFF president Amaju Pinnick has disclosed Zenith Bank PLC have agreed to foot the salary of Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh for a year.

Oliseh, who is on a five million Naira monthly salary (about $25,000), took over the Super Eagles in July.

“Zenith Bank have undertaken to pay Oliseh’s salary for a year. This will take a lot of burden off the federation,” disclosed Pinnick.

“The bank has also sponsored the country’s top referees for refresher courses in London.”

Cash-strapped NFF have often struggled to pay the country’s coaches as at when due with previous coach Stephen Keshi owed for several months before he was eventually paid.

Olusanya Calls For Support For Black Haus FC Ahead Of Their Maiden Ikeja League Campaign

Team Manager of Black Haus FC, Prince Adedeji Olusanya has called on the fans of the team to support the team, morally and financially ahead of their first league appearance in the 2018 Ikeja League which kicks off later this month. Speaking to newsmen after the draw was made on Monday, Prince Adedeji shared the aim of the club owned by Seun Kuti and what they intend doing in the next few years to come. NFF Inaugurates Referees Appointment Committee

The Nigeria Football Federation on Friday inaugurated its newly –composed Referees Appointment Committee, even as the committee held its inaugural meeting at the NFF Secretariat, Abuja the same day. NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, who represented NFF President Amaju Pinnick and the Executive Committee, congratulated the new team and reminded them that they have an onerous task at hand. “You see, several other persons along the lines of match organization can make mistakes, but the referee is not allowed to make mistakes.
