League leader and former champion Enyimba FC of Aba beats visiting Dolphins FC ‎of Port harcourt by two goals to nil, second place Warri Wolves were three goals better than their visitor the Afonja boys (Kwara United).

Surprise result of the day was the result between Sunshine Star of Akure and Nasarawa United, third place Sunshine lost to Nasarawa United at Akure township stadium by 2-3, while Shooting Star Sports Club of Ibadan can't hold their lead as the home team Enugu Rangers come from behind to beat 3SC 2-1. Tope Orelope scored  first goal of the day and failed to convert spot kick, that will make his team level.

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Monday evening in Ijebu-Ode, emerged the winner of the maiden Governor Dapo Abiodun Pre Season Tournament. Cup holders Nigeria will defend their Africa U23 Cup of Nations title in Egypt in November after the Olympic Eagles secured a robust 5-0 win over their Sudanese counterpart in the final qualifying leg at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Tuesday evening.
