OSHANIWA SEES FIRST-EVER RED IN SCOTLAND

Nigeria international Juwon Oshaniwa got his first red card since he turned professional on Friday while in action for his Scottish Premier League club Hearts.

Hearts lost 2-0 at Inverness CT.

And Oshaniwa will miss the next two games for Hearts on account of his dismissal.

The AFCON 2013 winner was given the marching order by the referee in the 87th minute.

An apparent scuffle on the goal-line between Oshaniwa and Tobi Sho-Silva saw the left-back given a straight red.

Some minutes before his expulsion from the game, Oshaniwa almost got a goal after Nicholson’s powerful running down the right had full-back Carl Tremarco in trouble, and his pass inside found Sean McKirdy, who laid it off for Daniel Swanson’s snapshot which was blocked and Juwon Oshaniwa’s follow up with the outside of his foot flew a yard wide.
